New VINSPECsolar Image Processing Solutions from Vitronic

Germany-based Vitronic has added a novel color line scanning imager to their VINSPECsolar product portfolio. This system performs color and print evaluations of the cell front sides with high-efficiency.

VINSPECsolar Image Processing Solutions

The significant feature of the company’s novel VINSPECsolar solution is an intense-resolution color sequence scanning camera, delivering 64 MPixel image data. This functionality is enabled by means of four autonomous lines for the color series in green, red, blue and black and white, with 40 µm for each component. High-standard prints and color discrimination are ensured along with optimal LED illumination. Features such as surfaces, edges, color, and geometries are accurately and securely evaluated to enhance the performance.

High-speed micro-crack identification, enhanced process sensing in the texture evaluation and print monitoring with higher resolution are the special characteristics empowered in the solar cell inspection field.

The company’s VINSPECsolar image processing solution offers excellent reliability and distinct classification for solar cells, solar modules, wafers, and thin film forms. With the advent of VINSPECsolar, manufacturing processes are synchronized and the volume of output is improved. The ultra-thin sensor enclosures facilitate speedy and easy installations into the plant. The validated data is transferred to databases and to the standardized MES system connections.
