Sensor-Enabled Bluetooth Headset from Plantronics

Plantronics has added an innovative Bluetooth headset called the Voyager Pro UC, to its leading Voyager Pro Plus product portfolio.

This advanced headset is operative on a smart sensing technology, providing a novel series of advantageous characteristics.

The features involve intelligent call routing, routing all the calls to the headset while wearing it, or it diverts the call to the phone if not wearing the handset. The second ‘mobility presence’ feature will divert the Skype status to a ‘in a call’ mode while using headset on a different device. The ‘intelligent Whisper Alerts’ functionality, operative with Outlook whispers the subject line and initial section of an e-mail from the contact lists.

The Voyager Pro UC can be used with a PC and also with a mobile phone. It is available with a USB adapter if the Bluetooth option is not supported in the computer. The headset can be accessible in markets by next January, 2011.
