Opengear to Advance Cellular Router with Varied Functionalities

Opengear, advanced console server and remote management system provider, has launched an innovative intelligent cellular router called the ACM5004-G. These ACM5004-G routers are superior to the earlier versions of cellular routers by virtue of its improved console server, firewall, power management, router, and environmental sensing performances.

The earlier versions of wire-free routers and firewalls dealt only with distributed Ethernet systems and in order to overcome this restriction, the company has developed a new category with advanced and intelligent cellular routers with varying functionalities. The ACM5004-G could inspect almost all the devices with USB, serial, digital and Ethernet I/O connections. It also facilitates UPS inspection and PDUs and RPS management. For environmental monitoring functionality, in-built thermal sensors were provided and additional support is supplied by integrating various sensors for fire, vibration, smoke and water recognition as well as for door contacts. The ACM5004-G is the most reliable cellular router available in the market, having RSA authorization and FIPS140-2 compliance.

The intelligent cellular routers are used in distributed infrastructures for managing traffic flow, utilities and gas pipelines. For achieving these necessities, reliable, secure remote connection is required for managing all the remote site systems.
