eCAFtach Unveils New Viewer Counter Solutions for Digital Signage

eCAFtach, Taiwan-based developer of audience measurement tools for digital out-of-home industry, has launched two new technologies for audience measurement.

The two new tools are DSVC-200 wireless transmission framework viewer counter, and the embedded framework viewer counter. Both the tools are designed for use in digital signage.

The DSVC-200 solution is suitable for wireless digital signage systems. The solution has to be installed along with a specified sensor camera, which is based on the original Set-top Box, around the signage screen. The audience measurement tool has the ability to detect and track viewers.

The embedded framework viewer counter solution features a wide dynamic range sensor that has the ability to detect spectators at wide angles. The solution can detect and track the faces of viewers automatically, as the faces are captured by the dynamic range sensors. The system uses a proprietary video analytics technology to generate true viewing data for screens and displays. This is done by analyzing images of people’s faces.

Both the new measurement tools can measure the presence, notice, and stay time of the viewers with the help of face recognition and tracking technology. The systems are suitable for digital signage located in shops, streets, and public venues.
