Variohm Launches Pressure Sensors for Varied Applications

Variohm EuroSensor has entered into a distribution accord with German producer Prignitz Mikrosystemtechnik. The company has released a line of products that sense pressure, transmit and display data.

The flush diaphragm pressure sensors ideal for applications in food and biomedical and pharmaceutical sectors enhance the company’s application capabilities. Also on offer are differential low- and high-pressure switches featuring integrated displays ideal for pressure management in processing, water treatment and HVAC engineering fields.

The products are of high quality and dependable compliant with ISO 9001:2000 and ATEX standards. The SIT pressure transducer developed with the thin film silicon measurement technologies, comes in two versions. The DM is suited to measuring food and pharmaceutical pressures up to 40bar, and is compliant with the European Hygienic Engineering & Design Group (EHEDG) guidelines. The PTLM on the other hand is suited for industrial applications of up to 4000bar. Both variants are offered in numerous measurement options. They are available in rugged stainless steel encasings having IP65 protection ratings. Flush options prevent material build up on the diaphragm and ease the cleaning process. The DM has a smooth RA value surface finish for the pressure contacting elements. The SIT range can be applied in voltage or current output with a PC programming capability. This feature offers zero-point and straightforward zero correction feature with an external magnet.

The DPTM is a small differential pressure transducer to measure liquid and gas up to static pressures of 1000bar. It can be used in applications such as pneumatics, process engineering and HVAC. It is IP66 rated and comes with 0–10VDC and 4–20mA version with or without a 4-character display. The DPTS-20 is suitable for measuring air and non aggressive gas pressure featuring a switching function ideal for supervision systems in air filtration and ventilators.
