Proximity Sensors Detect Position of Electric Drives

The SIES-8M series of inductive sensors from Festo measuring 8mm are user-friendly and provide a space and time efficient solution for detecting the position of electric drives. They can also determine the position of pneumatic grippers as well as metal components.

Upon being activated, one of the dual LEDs provides consistent illumination when viewed from any angle. The slot mounting feature of the proximity sensor makes for easy and quick installation, saving time and overall costs, making it a better option than sensors that are fitted externally. A tough central mounting provides security against mechanical tension that helps hold the sensor securely in place. Cables measuring between 0, 3 and 10m are also provided along with multi-sized drives.
