Future of M2M Technology on the Scanner at CommNexus

InterDigital discussed the progress and advances of machine-to-machine (M2M) technology at an event hosted by CommNexus in San Diego, California on February 23.

Naresh Soni, the company’s chief technology officer, explained about the system designs that will help cellular operators tap the potential of this technology in such a way as to offer seamless incorporation of cellular and non-cellular networks.

The panel on “M2M Wireless Sensor Technology: “From Academic Interest to Industry Reality” had experts from SensiNode, NPhase, Motorola Mobility and UCLA discussing connected devices and their estimated progress in the future. The panel looked at business strategies, applications, technological needs and products required to further develop M2M communications.

According to Rory Moore, chief executive officer of CommNexus, his company provides a medium and opportunity for leading designers and providers of the M2M technology segment to come together, exchange notes and discuss the future of this technology and its potential applications in wireless communications.

The company endeavors to formulate, grow, and excel in the industry. The organization hosts specific programs to help them access capital, talent and business development.
