Wireless Sensing Systems for Multi-Purpose Premise Security

Monnit recently declared signing a contract with the Florida-based ICare Wireless, a company that develops Indoor Climate Alerting and Reporting Emails, to retail and set up its wireless sensing devices for use in the commercial premise management organizations throughout the US. ICare has so far installed the system in 57 premises in southeast Michigan.

Monnit is supplying these devices to other industries through specific agreements. The devices can sense and monitor every function that is crucial to the commercial or personal life. It can sense the presence of light, water, humidity, temperature, movement and distress.

According to Brad Walters, founder and chief executive officer of Monnit, the device alerts people when there is water on the bathroom floor or elsewhere, when the temperature in a refrigerator lowers beyond the threshold, or a window or door has either been left open or been tampered with. The device also alerts people when any equipment is not functioning properly. His company develops sensing devices designed for specific requirements, and they are cost- effective and user- friendly.
