Connected Development to Provide Cellular Integration Services for 24eight’s Motion Sensing Devices

Connected Development announced that 24eight, a wireless sensor network and device development company, has selected it to provide cellular integration services for wearable motion sensing devices.

24eight has developed a series of sensor products that have the ability to capture pressure and movement. The data captured would help generate a thorough motion profile that will aid in detecting different states of physical activity. Healthcare professionals and athletes could use the profile to drive medical, gaming and exercise applications. The sensor technology could also be applied to shirts, hand grips, helmets and similar products.

Connected Development has completed the development of embedded software and hardware for 24eight’s wireless motion sensing product. The technology would enable devices produced by 24eight to communicate through cellular networks, facilitating remote monitoring of athlete and patient data such as collisions, falls, posture, pulse rate and respiration.
