Variohm Eurosensor has announced the launch of its newest product, the EPT2105 pressure sensor, which is a low cost sensor to be used for demanding pressure measurement applications ranging from 0 to 20 bars.

The sensor includes a piezoresistive measuring cell along with an integrated ratiometric circuit with high output, packed within a light and sturdy ABS plastic casing. The casing is injection molded and the sensor can be easily installed through its Packard Metri Pack 150 series connector and an industry standard M18 port. This sensor could be used in the highly challenging automotive industry in applications such as pneumatic suspension systems.
The device is being offered in four standard pressures of 20, 16, 10 and 0.6 bars. It has an IP66 sealing, with a heavy duty shock to 100g (11 milliseconds – ½ sine), vibration rating of 16g peak (20 to 2000Hz) and an operating temperature range of -40°C to +125ºC. This sensor with its high reliability factor has a short circuit, 10 million pressure cycle rating, a supply voltage of a nominal 5VDC for a 0.5 to 4.5 ratiometric output, an over range pressure of 20bar, 30 bar burst pressure and a reverse voltage protection.
The EPT series pressure transducers designed by Variohm are also available in 304 grade stainless steel housings for pressures ranging between 0.25 to 0.4000bars. Both the EPT series and the EPT2015 pressure sensors focus on challenging high volume applications in the agricultural machinery, automotive, construction equipment, hydraulic equipment, and refrigeration and HVAC segments.
