Sierra Monitor Fulfills First Order for Gas Detection Systems from ADCO

Sierra Monitor Corporation has announced the shipping of its first order from the Abu Dhabi Company for Onshore Oil Operations (ADCO)for delivering life-saving equipment used in the monitoring of flame and gas.

The monitoring equipment delivered will take the place of existing systems for the detection of fire and gas at Bab Field in three of its on-shore locations.

Abu Dhabi’s Bab Field area produces more than 1.4 million barrels of oil daily, contributing to above 50% of oil produced in the UAE. Sierra Monitor Corporation is a company focused on clean technology. The company designs, produces, and markets electronic safety equipment and instrumentation systems for environmental applications.

The President and CEO of Sierra Monitor, Gordon R. Arnold, commented that the fulfillment of ADCO’s order strengthens the position of their gas detection systems in the Middle East market. He also added that the company’s focus has shifted towards obtaining orders from leading fuel producers in the Middle East, which in turn is expected to benefit the company’s global sales.

Sierra Monitor produces and sells a wide range of flame detectors and monitors for toxic and combustible gases, which have applications in many industries including the petrochemical sector.
