Fluid Components International to Exhibit FCI ST100 Mass Flow Meter at WEFTEC 2011

Fluid Components International (FCI) would be showcasing its ST100 Mass Flow Meter, which is an advanced process and plant gas mass flow measurement system at the WEFTEC 2011.

ST100 Flow Meter

This device is a combination of superior function sophisticated electronics with advanced flow sensing performance. This device is the first-ever thermal mass gas flow meter which is future ready, and it includes a plug-in card substitute which could be replaced by technicians in the field to make it suitable for the changing needs of the plant’s network communication.

This series could continually determine, transmit and display the thermal flow meter industry’s long list of characteristics. The new ST100 is the solution for advanced digital bus communications such as Profibus, Foundation Fieldbus, HART and Modbus and is also suitable for traditional frequency/pulse, 4-20 mA analog and alarm relays.

This product includes a multivariable, graphical and backlit LCD display, which would give many more parameters when compared to existing flow meters. Its sophisticated readout displays non-stop, all process measurements along with alarm status and it also has the capacity to ask for service diagnostics. It takes measurements such as total flow, gas mass flow rate, pressure and temperature readings with an ability to store up to five calibration groups for handling broad flow ranges, and varying mixtures of both the same and multiple gases. It allows users to choose and alternate between ten common gases by using its SpectraCal Gas Equivalency calibration method. An on-board data logger which includes an easy to access, 2GB micro-SD memory card and can store 21 million readings is also included in the device. Two main model families the ST and the STP are featured in the ST100 series, where the STP series takes measurements of temperature, mass flow and pressure and the ST series measures temperature and mass flow.
