ANZEx and INMETRO Approvals for Ventis MX4 Multi-Gas Detection Instrument

Industrial Scientific, a provider of gas detection services, declared that the Ventis MX4 multi-gas detector instrument has obtained the INMETRO approval for Brazilian markets and ANZEx approval applicable to Australia and New Zealand markets based on its intrinsic safety.

On receiving the ANZEx approval, which is recognized by the markets of New Zealand and Australia, the Ventis at present, owns marking codes such as IP66 / IP67; Ex ia s Zone 0 IIC T4; Ex ia s Zone 0 I. With INMETRO approval, relevant to the Brazilian market, the monitors of Ventis holds marking codes including Ex d ia IIC T4 Gb; and IP66/ IP67.

Industrial Scientific’s latest multi-gas detector, Ventis, is a portable instrument that can be easily configured, which has the ability to detect combustible gases like CH4 or LEL, or one to four gases along with oxygen, and either two of the toxic gases, SO2, CO, NO2, and H2S. The instrument has been developed with an objective of safety among employers in diverse industries and is appropriate for both constant personal monitoring and limited space monitoring for risky environments. The Ventis can be employed to extract samples from approximately 100 ft depth by making use of its integral pump for confined spaces.
