US based Independa has announced that it will integrate its glucose monitoring system into its CloudCare suite. This system can be used by caregivers and healthcare professionals to keep track of the health of elders.
The Telcare Glucometer can be used by customers when they are on the move. The device has been particularly designed with an intention of increasing the productivity of caregivers.
The mobile platform from Telcare has been approved by FDA. Under the new system, information collected from Telcare glucometers will be sent to the central server of Telcare which will in turn deliver data to the cloud based Caregiver Web App of Independa. Under the Caregiver App, users will be able to access a dashboard and a control panel from their personal computers, laptops or computer tablets.
The system has been equipped with alert escalation system and set thresholds which will also be applied to data from Telcare. The company intends to supply the system through its channel partners like home health providers, senior living facilities and home care providers by May 1st.
According to the CEO of Telcare, Dr. Jonathan Javitt, the combination of Telcare’s glucometer and Independa’s cloud based web app will provide a comprehensive solution for elder adults without interrupting their travel or their daily activities.
