Forston Labs’ Gas Sensor Measures CO2 Levels

Forston Labs has recently announced a carbon dioxide (CO2) gas sensor for measuring CO2 in a broad range of applications that include petrochemical/chemical, industrial production/plants, pharmaceutical, plastic, pulp and paper, textiles, food and beverage, government institutions.

The two ranges covered are 0–100,000 ppm and 0–10,000 ppm. It offers an accuracy of ±100 ppm along with resolution 30 ppm at the high range and 3 ppm at the low range. It operates at 5–95% non-condensing humidity range and 25°C temperature. The sensor’s response time is 95% of complete scale reading in 2 min.

This sensor can be utilized for tracking CO2 level changes that occur in chamber reactions, surrounding air, and respiration of organisms. It can be calibrated easily with a calibration button.

The user-friendly, dependable sensor can be connected to the LabNavigator instrument directly for continuous or routine monitoring in the user’s facility and time-based experiments. Users will be able to export their data through the NavPilot software incorporated in the LabNavigator instrument for viewing their data on a PC via Microsoft Excel or NavPilot.

It can be utilized as a standalone sensor or can be combined with four sensors like GPS to map data points along with Google Maps. Users have the option to select from more than 31 sensors that are LabNavigator compatible, including spectroscopy, electrochemistry, turbidity and calorimetry.
