Mosoro Introduces 3D-Motion, Enviro, and Proximity Bluetooth LE Accessories

Mosoro has introduced its first three internally designed Bluetooth LE hardware accessories for iOS. These newly-introduced Mosoro products are up to 5% large in size compared to traditional LEGO” brick, and measure 38 x 18.5 x 15 mm.

A micro USB rechargeable lithium polymer battery with “shake-to-wake” power support acts as the power source. Additionally, an RGB “glow-cap” for infinite color notifications, and programmable snap-action button have also been incorporated.

Mosoro’s Bluetooth LE products optimize Mosoro SDK, enabling iOS app-developers to effectively and simply develop Bluetooth LE app-enabled accessory solutions. All Mosoro Bluetooth LE products are open and compatible for incorporation within any app. Mosoro’s open hardware design supports the adoption of multiple apps with a single app-enabled accessory. Mosoro is now focusing on popular brands for designing smartphone apps that can easily connect to these three products.

• Mosoro 3D-Motion is a miniature motion capture inertial measurement unit (IMU) featuring an accelerometer, magnetometer, gyroscope, and Bluetooth LE wireless connectivity. For recording the 3-D movement of object, 3D-Motion comes in contact to a physical object and connects to a smartphone app via Bluetooth LE. This is followed by displaying the sensor data graphically, numerically or resulting as a 3D model. 3D-Motion can also be applied to an iPhone/ iPad game controller, thereby expanding its applications.
• Mosoro Enviro is a small environmental capture device that displays actual local weather on smartphone. The Enviro hardware is capable of measuring humidity, temperature, and barometric pressure followed by conveying to the smartphone via Bluetooth LE. Integrating with GPS position of the smartphone, the Enviro data can be stored on the novel Mosoro Cloud.
• Mosoro Proximity is a compact-sized proximity and motion detection device that can be equipped to physical objects or can be deployed as a stand alone proximity “trigger” for smartphone apps. Proximity hardware currently serves motion alert apps, and can further be adopted as a “triggering” mechanism for location aware apps.

Mosoro 3D-Motion, Enviro and Proximity Bluetooth LE sensor developer kits are now being offered to specific app-developers.
