IST’s RTD Temperature Sensors Achieve DIN 60751 Class A Accuracy

The novel PW and PG portfolio of thin film type of platinum RTD temperature sensors from Innovative Sensor Technology (IST) have the ability  to achieve the DIN 60751 class A precision in the accuracy in a -200°C to +600°C temperature range.

IST’s platinum thin film RTD directly replaces wire wound devices at half the cost

The PW range incorporates a 3850 ppm/K temperature coefficient, while temperature coefficient of the PG range is 3911 ppm/K. The sensors also have excellent hysteresis characteristics.

The PG and PW sensors have smaller dimension and series sensors and can be produced with reduced material costs, enabling the sensors to be provided at half the cost of wire wound technology. The thin film’s smaller dimensions also result in much quicker response times and packaging versatility and much faster response times than the ones achievable by wire wound sensors.

Innovative Sensor Technology, a global-class producer of thin-film RTD mass flow sensors, temperature sensors, and capacitive humidity sensors, has its headquarters in Wattwil, Switzerland and subsidiaries in the US and the Czech Republic.
