Quantum Technology Sciences Launches Second Demo Site Featuring Seismic-Acoustic Sensor Technology

Quantum Technology Sciences announces the opening of its second perimeter security and intrusion detection demonstration site.

The new site, located on 300 acres in Houston, Texas, features the company’s seismic-acoustic sensor technology known as the first and only security solution capable of using a single concealed sensor to detect and classify potential threats on land, underground, in the air and in the water.

“Knowing is everything,” says Quantum CEO Mark Tinker, PhD. “To witness our systems detect and classify visibly obstructed or inaudible threats inevitably results in an ‘ah-ha’ moment. We’ve seen clients gain that level of understanding at our demo site in Florida, and now we are prepared to unveil it in Texas.”

While Quantum’s solutions can stand alone, development is already underway to incorporate partner technologies at the demonstration site to show how Quantum’s non-line-of-sight solutions enhance the intrusion detection performance of typically used sensors such as cameras, UAVs, and radar.

Quantum’s customers enjoy the benefits of the concealed technology and understandably don’t prefer demonstrations at their facilities. With the opening of this new location in Houston, the company can better accommodate potential clients around the country.

During demonstrations, viewers see in real-time how the seismic-acoustic systems detect and classify potential threats not only at and within a security perimeter, but well beyond, out to a more extensive awareness perimeter. The expanded awareness zone enables proactive security, where threats can be identified and more effectively deterred or neutralized before doing harm. For example, a walking threat is detected more than a football field’s distance away. Demonstrations will include hands-on participation to illustrate the ease and speed of deploying Quantum’s portable, remote solutions.
