The decentralised installation system CTEL from Festo makes valve terminals fieldbus compatible, but only costs as much as a multi-pin solution. The ease with which modules can be changed makes it especially suitable for OEMs who want to remain flexible.

The new, decentralised standard communication interface follows the Festo plug and work principle: installations from multi-pin to fieldbus, Ethernet and IO-Link are easy to change and upgrade without having to reconfigure the interfaces. However the most surprising thing about the installation system CTEL is not its intelligent and intuitive features, but rather its affordable price.

The CTEL installation includes the fieldbus node CTEU as well as the electrical communication interface I-Port. This standardised interface supports all common fieldbuses. The valve terminal with I-Port is also compatible with IO-Link. The extended CTEL installation includes the adapter CAPC, the input module CTSL and the connecting cables NEBU.
