The TOC-30 Series Safe Area Gas Detectors offered by IGD are available as modern addressable versions or legacy Analogue 4-20 mA gas detectors. These detectors are manufactured in rugged ABS housings which offer several advantages. Sealing is molded in as part of the housing with electronics and detector in separated compartments. A unique labyrinth arrangement that protects the detector provides both splash and dust protection.
ABS is tough and does not corrode offering a high degree of chemical resistance. The electronics and detectors used in the TOC-30 series of gas detectors are identical to those employed in the Tocsin 102 ATEX detectors. The housing material is the only difference and if users do not need a zoned area ATEX detector then they do not have to pay for one.
Applications that are not zoned ATEX areas are covered by the Safe Area Gas Detector’s. IGD guarantees that the detection quality is identical, and they are in fact doing the same job. The housing has been designed to wall mount with conduit knock outs pre-molded. Alternatively, TOC-30 series detector’s housing can be flush wall mounted or mount to Dado trunking since they are a standard 2-gang mount.
TOC-30 Series detectors are available in a wide variety of gas types.

- Infra-Red for detecting N2O, CO2 and also most flammables
- Electrochemical types for most Toxic gases including, CO, H2S, Oxygen, CL2, SO2, NO2 and more
Additionally, IGD’s TOC-30 detectors for oxygen feature five year life polymer cells. These cells comprise of an extended service life over legacy lead based cells. IGD’s longest in-service units to date have been in operation for more than eight years offering improved protection while saving operating costs.
