InvenSense Debuts New Sensor Products at Mobile World Expo

InvenSense, a provider of Motion-Processor technology to be used in consumer electronic products, is exhibiting the MPU-6000.

The device is a six -axis integrated Motion-Processor featuring a gyroscope and an accelerometer. It has an in-built Digital Motion-Processing (DMP) hardware accelerator that can perform 10-axis sensor fusion.

The company will also exhibit smart phones, tablets etc., that feature the MEMS technology at the 2011 Mobile World Congress Show that will be conducted in Barcelona, Spain between 14 and 17 February. The MPU-6000 features an on-board DMP and MPL 3.3 software that can process complicated 9-axis and 10-axis sensor fusion algorithms. The technology enables the company to develop applications like precise sensing of hand tremors so that the quality of the image or video is flawless, GPS dead reckoning for vehicles, indoor pedestrian movement control, motion user interfaces, true to life images, TV remotes that respond to movement and hand gestures, besides immersive gaming options.
