Flexpoint announced the receipt of a purchase order for developing sensors that would be used for testing a safety product by a leading automotive company.
This is a follow-up order for delivering automotive safety sensors that are part of the testing operations carried out by the automotive company. The new order is yet another area where the Bend sensor technology from Flexpoint is being used.
Clark Mayor, the President of Flexpoint, explained that the initial order that Flexpoint delivered was able to provide smooth testing operations for the client company. He was expectant of receiving production orders in future if the follow up testing operations proceed smoothly. He added that by receiving orders of this nature, Flexpoint would be able to see considerate amount of revenue inflow in the second half of 2011. The products that Flexpoint has lined up for releasing into the market are safety products, multiple car seat products and dashboard products, which would enhance the styling and electronic system functionalities. Mayor added that each of the products that were lined up for release was tied up with leading automobile manufacturers or with Tier 1 suppliers.
The single layer Bend sensor from Flexpoint facilitates the measurement of air flow, mechanical movement, water flow and vibration. The sensor can withstand extreme environmental conditions and provide reliable results.
