Telephonics Corporation’s APS-143(V) 3 Radar System for the Mexican Navy’s CN-235 Aircraft

The EADS Airbus Military has awarded a $2million Contract to Telephonics Corporation’s Radar System Division, belonging to the Griffon Corporation for providing APS-143C (V) 3 Maritime Surveillance radar systems.

This radar system is to be mounted on the CN-235 Aircraft used by the Mexican navy. Six more radar systems would be needed to meet the demands of the Mexican Navy.

This radar provides ISAR and SAR imaging along with long-distance and diminutive target identification. It is also highly dependable, light, at the same time long lasting.

Radar System Division’s president, Mr. Kevin McSweeney, stated that it was a privilege to be a team member, supporting the Mexican Navy in their border and maritime surveillance endeavors.
