OMRON to Launch New ZW-7000 Series Displacement Sensors for Continuous Measurement of Objects at Micron Level

OMRON Corporation, Kyoto City, will introduce on April 1 the new confocal fiber displacement sensor ZW-7000 Series. Incorporating the new white light confocal principle of measurement, the ZW-7000 Series is a non-contact-type displacement sensor that can continuously measure the height of objects with various materials and shapes with an accuracy of microns while moving the sensor head.

Researchers at the University of Morelos (UAEM) in Mexico, developed a dual antenna for broadcast TV with features that distinguish it from others already available worldwide. It is 11 centimeters long and 6.5 centimeters wide, six millimeters thick, weighing 12 grams and, when coated, can reaches only 80 grams.
