Semtech to Develop and Deploy Automated Gas Meters and Detectors in South Korea

Himax Announces Ultra-Low Power QVGA CMOS Image Sensor, HM01B0

Himax Imaging, Inc., a subsidiary of Himax Technologies, Inc. (“Himax” or the “Company”), a leading supplier and fabless manufacturer of display drivers and other semiconductor products, today announced the HM01B0, an ultra-low power QVGA CMOS Image Sensor that consumes less than 700µW when operating at QQVGA resolution of 30 Frames Per Second (FPS), and less than 2mW when operating at QVGA resolution with support for even lower power modes. Micro-Epsilon Non-contact Laser Sensor Provides 10 Times Higher Measurement Repeatability in Wax Distortion Tests at Blayson Olefines

A UK-based manufacturer of investment casting wax is using a laser displacement sensor from Micro-Epsilon to measure the distortion and contraction of wax materials used in investment casting. The non-contact, high performance sensor is providing ten times higher measurement repeatability than the previous LVDTs and touch-probe gauges.
